THE NEXT COUNCIL MEETING WILL BE MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6 AT 7:00 pm

Simmons Road Update
01-05-12 – The first “punch list” walkthrough on Simmons just happened and we are very happy with the results of this project. The contractors really came through and in many cases went above and beyond their duties.
Simmons Road will open by the end of business tomorrow, 01/06/12. There may be small, temporary, one-lane closures popping up, but these will be limited. There are some last touches and some possible small re-pours, but the road will remain open. Please watch for signals and signage and drive slowly.
I want to say thank you to Quality Excavation, Denton County, Double Oak Residents and Halff and Associates for all of their hard work during this project. Special thanks to Brian, James, Jimmy, Justin, Guillermo, Osa, and everybody else that would stop what they were doing to hear our many concerns.
The road looks great and the drainage improvements are unbelievable. We even managed to save over forty trees that were originally scheduled to be cut down.
Thank you,
Charlie Wright
Director of Public Works
